Sizes shown for our halter style fitted bodice dresses are the approximate measurement of the dress. We don't use the normal high street size numbers as these vary so much between brands it can cause confusion. This means you will need to check your measurements to determine which size is likely to be the best fit. Start with your waist (usually the narrowest part of your body). You might get away with a dress that's an inch or so out either way on the bust size but if the dress won't zip up through your waist then the bust measurement is irrelevant. Measure your bust at the fullest point.

Can I return the dress if it doesn't fit?
Yes, all dresses are returnable in accordance with our returns policy and procedure - see the Terms and Returns page. To maintain our high standards we have to
be absolutely rigid about returns being in perfect condition therefore it is vital that boned dresses are returned in a box, as sent, to protect the bones in transit.
As getting a good fit is especially important with dresses, the 5% returns fee will be refunded for dresses if you buy anything of the same (or greater) value
within one month of the date you ordered your dress, provided the returns policy has been followed. Refunds are issued promptly, by the method you used to pay - we
do not issue credit notes like some others do.
Dress Care Instructions and Shrinkage
Cotton fabrics may shrink a little during the first wash but some other manufacturers don't tell you this. We test wash a sample of each new roll of fabric and in general,
shrinkage is usually between 1% and 3%. To put this into perspective, with 2% shrinkage a 28 inch waist might shrink to around 27.5 inch after the first wash.
100% cotton is best ironed damp. Do not iron bones, zip or elastic if there is any. Wash gently because of bones.
Skirt sizes are a guide to what we believe most folk are comfortable wearing - this is not an absolute as it depends on how tight you like your waistband to be. Our elasticated waistbands will stretch to at least the maximum hip measurement which ensures you can get into the skirt!
